Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in food service or a related field preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to handle cash and operate related equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Prior food service or similar job experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Understanding of menu items and dietary accommodations
  • Ability to remain patient and flexible under pressure
  • Willingness to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations, and accommodate dietary requests
  • Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodation
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment in the dining area
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal and medical guest information
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and keep the area clean meeting sanitation standards
  • Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
