Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in food service or a related field preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle cash and operate related equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adhere to company policies and maintain confidentiality

- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Understanding of menu items and dietary accommodations
- Ability to remain patient and flexible under pressure
- Willingness to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations, and accommodate dietary requests
- Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodation
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment in the dining area
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal and medical guest information
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
- Ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and keep the area clean meeting sanitation standards
- Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
