Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred
- willingness to undergo training
- ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- availability to work scheduled part-time shifts especially on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- strong communication skills
- commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Previous senior living experience preferred
- ability to learn and adapt through training
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- attention to detail in food service and safety compliance
- ability to work flexible part-time hours including weekends
- knowledge of menu items and dietary considerations is a plus
- friendly and patient demeanor when interacting with residents and team members
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
- demonstrate full understanding of menu items including ingredients and allergens
- advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate orders and special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- maintain cleanliness and safety in the dining room
- handle equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- work with other departments during special events
- address guest complaints promptly and report to supervisors
- maintain confidentiality of personal information
- set up and clean dining area before and after service
- perform other duties as assigned
