Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up with guests for additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate and timely orders
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and cooperate well with others
- remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information
- promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is set up properly before and after service
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage dispensers, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
