Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally
  • maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correctly delivered
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and flexibility when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
