Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advises guests on food and drink combinations and accommodates preferences and dietary restrictions
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
  • exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains flexibility and patience with guests and staff
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintains confidentiality of personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays information to supervisor
  • ensures the dining room is set up properly before and after service periods
  • operates various service equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborates with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • performs other duties as assigned
