Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- Address complaints promptly and relay relevant information to supervisor
- Ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
- Operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
