Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in executive dining environment
  • availability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions
  • capacity to work flexible hours
  • willingness to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding guest information

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in executive dining service
  • knowledge of a la carte menu service and bar experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • basic cash handling skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to operate dining room equipment
  • flexibility to work varied hours Monday through Friday

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests accommodated
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
  • remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room setup prior to and after service period
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
