Previous food service or cooking experience preferred

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in food service or cooking preferred
strong interpersonal and communication skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
team player with a positive attitude
flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
basic cash-handling skills

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate preferences
communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
ensure proper setup and cleanup of dining area before and after service
operate dining room equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers
collaborate with other departments during special events
perform other duties as assigned
