Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate preferences
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
- ensure proper setup and cleanup of dining area before and after service
- operate dining room equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers
- collaborate with other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
