Job Requirements
- Valid Food Handler's card preferred
- ability to work a part-time schedule with varying days and hours including rotating weekends and holidays
- willingness to undergo training provided by the employer
- must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- compliance with company policies including drug-free workplace standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a waiter/waitress or hospitality role is advantageous but not mandatory
- ability to maintain professional and courteous communication with guests and team members
- knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- capacity to understand and accommodate special dietary requests and allergens
- strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room setup prior to and after service while maintaining sanitation standards
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with staff of other departments during special events and perform other assigned duties
