Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safety and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advises guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodates special dietary requests
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special accommodations
  • exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains patience and flexibility with guests and staff
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintains confidentiality of personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information to supervisors
  • ensures proper dining room setup before and after service
  • operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborates with other departments during special events and functions
  • performs additional duties as assigned
