Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Availability to work part-time shifts including evenings and weekends as required
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Reliable transportation to and from the Notre Dame location
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- Advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate dietary requests
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
- Ensure dining room setup before and after service periods
- Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
