Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- willingness to learn and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- maintain a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisor
- set up and clean the dining room before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- assist with special events and perform other duties as assigned
