Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior food service experience preferred
availability for evening shifts including weekends
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
strong customer service skills
ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

Prior experience in food service preferred
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
basic knowledge of menu items and dietary restrictions
ability to work well in a team environment
patient and flexible when interacting with guests and staff
capability to handle cash transactions accurately

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally
maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
