Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in similar waiter/waitress role preferred
ability to communicate effectively and professionally
capable of standing and walking for extended periods
availability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
basic math skills for handling transactions
knowledge of safe food handling practices
ability to work as part of a team

commitment to customer satisfaction

Job Qualifications

prior experience in food and beverage service advantageous but not mandatory

flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
demonstrate thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on suitable food and drink combinations
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
exhibit exceptional communication skills and flexibility with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information
promptly address and relay guest complaints to supervisors
ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with staff of other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
