Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrate thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on suitable food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and flexibility with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information
- promptly address and relay guest complaints to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff of other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
