Job Requirements

At least one year of experience in a similar role required
availability to work part-time weekends including Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm
ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
reliable and punctual
ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
capable of handling confidential information responsibly

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
minimum of one year experience in a similar role
strong communication and interpersonal skills
knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards
ability to work effectively in a team environment
basic math skills and cash-handling experience
ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests
customer service-oriented mindset
ability to operate restaurant equipment safely

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
takes food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
delivers food promptly and professionally
maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards
follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences
communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
exhibits exceptional communication skills and gets along well with others
collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information to supervisor
ensures the dining room is properly set up before and after service period and keeps area clean
operates a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
works with staff from other departments to perform duties during special events and functions
performs other duties as assigned
