Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate flexibility and patience with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment
- handle complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
- ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
- operate restaurant equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
