Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food and beverage service experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • flexible availability including evenings and weekends
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow established service protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food and beverage service advantageous but not required
  • excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
  • basic understanding of dietary needs and allergen information

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate combinations
  • accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicates directly with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibits exceptional communication skills and remains flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • ensures the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and meets sanitation standards
  • operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborates with other departments during special events and functions
  • performs other duties as assigned
