Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on appropriate combinations
- accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- communicates directly with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and remains flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly addresses complaints or issues and relays relevant information to supervisor
- ensures the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and meets sanitation standards
- operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborates with other departments during special events and functions
- performs other duties as assigned
