Job Qualifications
- Have recent experience in the hospitality/customer service industry
- ability to accurately exchange currency with guests and handle tip-outs
- ability to bus/pre-bus with or without support staff
- ability to provide reliable transportation to and from work
- ability to work fast and multi-task in a high-volume environment
- ability to provide excellent customer service for every table
- must be friendly and consistently display a teamwork attitude
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- efficiently take food and beverages orders, following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
