Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
recent experience in hospitality or customer service
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to handle cash transactions accurately
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
reliable transportation
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
customer-focused attitude
team player

Job Qualifications

Have recent experience in the hospitality/customer service industry
ability to accurately exchange currency with guests and handle tip-outs
ability to bus/pre-bus with or without support staff
ability to provide reliable transportation to and from work
ability to work fast and multi-task in a high-volume environment
ability to provide excellent customer service for every table
must be friendly and consistently display a teamwork attitude

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
efficiently take food and beverages orders, following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally
maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others
remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor
ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
