- Prior server experience
- senior living experience preferred
- food handler certification preferred
- ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including weekends and holidays
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- physical ability to perform dining service tasks
- willingness to assist in special events and additional duties

Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follows up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodates reasonable requests and notes dietary preferences including specialized diets and allergens
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff ensuring correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
- exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains flexible and patient demeanor with guests and staff
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- promotes a clean safe and neat environment for guests
- maintains high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly addresses complaints relays relevant issues to supervisor
- ensures dining room is properly set up before and after service keeping area clean meeting sanitation standards
- operates equipment including fire extinguishers telephones iced tea soda machines soup wells and coffee machines
- works with other departments to perform duties during special events
- performs other duties as assigned
