Job Requirements
- Three years of previous fine dining serving experience
- ability to work varied part-time schedules including weekends and holidays
- must be 18 years or older
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- able to follow food handling and sanitation protocols
- cash handling skills
- willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum three years of serving experience in a fine dining setting
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to remain patient and flexible under pressure
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- knowledge of specialized diets and allergens is a plus
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat dining environment
- promptly address guest complaints or issues and escalate to supervisor as necessary
- ensure proper dining room setup before and after service periods
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, beverage machines, and coffee machines
- work collaboratively with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
