Job Requirements

  • Prior food service experience is required
  • open availability to work on-call schedule
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods
  • ability to follow cash-handling procedures
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

  • understanding of menu items and ability to educate guests on food and drink options
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate special requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special accommodations
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • address complaints or issues promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service and maintain cleanliness
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
