Job Requirements

  • Previous serving experience preferred but not required
  • ability to work part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • basic math skills
  • ability to follow established service procedures
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • willingness to learn and work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous serving experience preferred but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible part-time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • teamwork and customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests and accommodating requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay them to supervisors
  • ensure dining room setup before and after service period
  • operate various equipment including fire extinguishers and beverage machines
  • assist staff during special events and functions
  • perform other assigned duties
