Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and dietary preferences including knowledge of allergens
  • communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and team members
  • collect tickets and handle cash transactions properly
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • promptly address guest complaints or issues and escalate them to supervisors
  • ensure dining area is properly set up before and after service and complies with sanitation standards
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
