Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years previous serving experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including weekends
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • capability to handle cash and perform ticketing accurately
  • commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • willingness to comply with company policies including the use of proper safety equipment such as gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and operating equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years previous serving experience preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including some weekends
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to handle cash and complete transactions accurately
  • familiarity with menu items and the ability to advise guests
  • customer service oriented with a friendly and welcoming attitude
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • knowledge of specialized diets and allergens is a plus

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while following food handling and sanitation standards
  • assist guests periodically with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information
  • address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining area is properly set up and clean before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events
  • perform other assigned duties
