- Prior catering or restaurant service experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to carry out simple oral and written instructions
- Minimum two years of catering or restaurant service preferred
- Strong communication skills across organizational levels
Job Duties
- Provide service during catered functions according to contract style
- Serve bar guests in the style required by the contract
- Maintain a constant flow of service, keep bar stocked and clean
- Assist in other party service areas as requested
- Notify supervisors of problems or shortages
- Clean bar and room after parties
- Remove and store used equipment and supplies
- Complete inventory counts and reports
- Ensure rooms are returned to original setup
- Follow sanitation and safety standards
- Maintain operating equipment safely
- Perform tasks assigned by supervisors
- Pick up and deliver requisition supplies
- Maintain supply and linen rooms
- Set up items necessary for functions
- Review contracts and clarify details
- Assemble supplies for coffee, snacks, and beverages
- Set up function rooms according to contracts
- Prepare bar items, including condiments and garnishes
- Transport and organize bar supplies and equipment in function rooms
