Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry up to 25 lbs periodically
- Good communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
- Must complete IHOP Academy Training program
- Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards
Job Qualifications
- Be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Understand our systems, safety standards, and operating procedures
- Thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment
Job Duties
- Promptly greet and seat guests at clean, sanitary "guest ready" tables
- Help guests make the right menu choices
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Enter orders into our POS system terminals or tablets
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely fashion
- Follow server banking procedures for processing payments
- Clear, clean, and reset tables and maintain the overall appearance of the restaurant
- Stock and rotate supplies in service areas
- Comply with all safety and sanitation standards
- Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards
- Complete the IHOP Academy Training program
- Handle money transactions accurately and responsibly
- Be a multi-tasker and maintain service standards
- Solve basic service issues with patience and professionalism
- Be flexible and available to work holidays and weekends
- Be a team player and contribute to the success of the team
- Expect to be on your feet for the majority of your shift
- Carry up to 25 lbs
- periodically throughout your shift
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and stretch for cleaning and maintenance tasks
