Job Duties
- Prepare food and pastries according to a predetermined menu
- Compile daily reports to ensure transaction and meal planning accuracy
- Understand and confirm meal components for inclusion
- Store food properly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Serve meals to patrons according to scheduled times and regulations
- Use and maintain culinary utensils, focusing on blades
- Ensure timely preparation of food items and beverages
- Enhance food presentation through garnishing
- Assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking equipment
- Comply with food safety standards including hygiene, handling, and storage
- Adhere to uniform policies at all times
- Coordinate daily menu with the manager
- Monitor food storage and service temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
- Keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Collect garbage and maintain clean kitchen floors
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including aiding other kitchen departments
