Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare food and pastries according to a predetermined menu
  • Compile daily reports to ensure transaction and meal planning accuracy
  • Understand and confirm meal components for inclusion
  • Store food properly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • Serve meals to patrons according to scheduled times and regulations
  • Use and maintain culinary utensils, focusing on blades
  • Ensure timely preparation of food items and beverages
  • Enhance food presentation through garnishing
  • Assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking equipment
  • Comply with food safety standards including hygiene, handling, and storage
  • Adhere to uniform policies at all times
  • Coordinate daily menu with the manager
  • Monitor food storage and service temperatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • Keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Collect garbage and maintain clean kitchen floors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including aiding other kitchen departments
