Job Duties
- Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
- put together a daily report ensuring accuracy of transactions and meal planning
- understand the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
- store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
- maintain and use culinary utensils with a focus on blades
- ensure timely preparation of food items and beverages
- enhance visual appeal of meals through garnishing
- assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
- uphold all food safety requirements including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
- comply with established uniform regulations
- coordinate daily with manager for menu planning
- monitor correct food temperatures during storage and serving
- maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
- keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- collect garbage and maintain kitchen floor cleanliness
- perform other duties as required including aiding different kitchen departments
