Job Requirements
- complete a background investigation with favorable results
- complete assigned training including food handler's certification within specified time from date of hire or assignment to position
- be available for shift work including evenings weekends holidays or special situations
- be at least 18 years of age or older for serving alcoholic beverages
- have resided in the united states for 3 years and reside in the commuting area of the vacancy location
- satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
- be physically able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds
Job Qualifications
- experience or training in proper food handling and serving techniques
- ability to follow cash handling procedure and make simple mathematical computations and prepare checks for patrons
- knowledge of proper food handling and serving techniques
- knowledge of food menu items and wine selection for various foods sufficient to explain to customer
- skill in table setting techniques
- open to everyone with eligibility determined by preference or priority consideration
- must clearly describe relevant experience in resume to receive consideration
Job Duties
- help
- discuss menu with supervisor and familiarize self with menu prior to opening
- secure clean linen and silverware depending on menu and food to be served
- set assigned tables spreading clean linen and placing glasses condiment holders flowers candles or lamps and silverware on table
- prepare side tables with silverware bowls of ice and other extras that may be required during the meal
- receive guests and take orders
- write guests' orders answer questions regarding food and beverages or make suggestions about dishes and beverages
- work according to rigid time schedule secure food from kitchen and place dishes by course in front of each person
- continue to provide service as needed and requested by guests
- give check to guest following completion of meal remove soiled dishes glasses and silverware or request food service worker to do so
- perform cleaning duties as time permits such as sweeping mopping and so forth in assigned area or cleaning entryways
- perform dishwashing or other functions in an emergency
- perform other related duties as required
