Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • food service certification required
  • ability to work under pressure
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and standing for long periods
  • adherence to uniform and PPE guidelines
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • Follow predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together daily report ensuring accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • grasp meal components to confirm their inclusion
  • store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • apply and upkeep culinary utensils with focus on blades
  • prepare food items and beverages promptly
  • enhance meal visual appeal through garnishing
  • provide sanitation assistance for refrigeration units and cooking devices
  • uphold food safety standards including hygiene, handling and storage
  • comply with uniform regulations
  • coordinate daily menu planning with manager
  • ensure food is stored and served at correct temperatures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables and countertops
  • perform general cleaning like sweeping, mopping and dishwashing
  • ensure garbage collection and keep kitchen floors clean
  • fulfill additional duties as required possibly aiding other kitchen departments
