Job Duties
- Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
- Put together a daily report ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
- Grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
- Properly store food to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Deliver food to patrons per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
- Apply and maintain culinary utensils focusing on blades
- Ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
- Enhance meals by garnishing to improve visual appeal and guest enjoyment
- Assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
- Uphold all food safety requirements including hygiene, handling, and storage
- Comply with uniform regulations
- Coordinate daily with manager on menu planning
- Monitor food storage and serving temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
- Keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- Perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned including aiding other kitchen departments
