Job Duties

  • follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together a daily report ensuring accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • grasp the components that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • correctly store food to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • maintain culinary utensils, especially blades
  • ensure timely preparation of food items and beverages
  • enhance the visual appeal of meals with garnishing
  • assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, cooking and serving devices
  • uphold all food safety standards including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
  • comply with uniform policy at all times
  • coordinate daily with the manager for menu planning
  • monitor food temperature for proper storage and serving
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • ensure garbage collection and maintain kitchen floor cleanliness
  • perform additional duties as required, aiding other kitchen departments
