Job Requirements

  • food service certification
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to work under pressure
  • compliance with uniform guidelines and use of personal protective equipment
  • physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and long periods of standing or walking
  • commitment to food safety standards and sanitation
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together a daily report ensuring accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • understand meal components to confirm inclusion
  • properly store food to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • deliver food to patrons as per schedule and regulations
  • maintain and apply culinary utensils, focusing on blades
  • ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
  • enhance food aesthetics through garnishing
  • assist in sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and kitchen equipment
  • uphold food safety standards including hygiene, handling, and storage
  • comply with uniform policy at all times
  • coordinate daily menu with manager
  • monitor food temperatures during storage and serving
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • perform general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
  • perform additional tasks as required, including aiding other kitchen departments
