Job Requirements

  • ability to work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together a daily report ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • understand the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • apply and maintain culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
  • ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
  • enhance the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
  • provide help with the sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • uphold all requirements related to food safety including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
  • comply with uniform regulations at all times
  • engage in daily interaction with the manager to plan the day’s menu
  • ensure foods are stored and served at the correct temperatures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • implement cleanliness procedures such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • ensure that garbage is collected and kitchen floors are kept clean
  • fulfill other duties as required including aiding in different kitchen departments
