Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays
willingness to learn and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
patient and empathetic nature toward senior residents

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service is preferred
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
knowledge of or willingness to learn about dietary needs and restrictions for senior residents
physical ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and perform light lifting
patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents
friendly and approachable demeanor
attention to detail and accuracy in taking and serving orders
ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
understanding and respect for the needs and preferences of senior residents

Job Duties

Greet residents and guests warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
take meal orders accurately and efficiently, accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions
serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct orders and presentation standards
assist residents with their dining needs, including helping those with limited mobility or other challenges
maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables, resetting for the next meal, and tidying serving stations
follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring all serving areas and utensils are hygienic
monitor residents for any special requests or concerns during meals and address them promptly
communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding menu items, dietary restrictions, and special orders
assist with special events, including setup, service, and cleanup
adhere to facility protocols and guidelines, including maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor
