Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of company orientation
- Completion of food safety and sanitation training
- Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to perform detailed and precise tasks
- Ability to work with customers attentively
- Capability to safely lift up to 55 pounds or more depending on department
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and perform fine motor movements
- Willingness to comply with all safety and food sanitation standards
- Commitment to teamwork and quality customer service.

- Knowledge of computer systems and equipment such as PC, symbol, scales, label machine

Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service
- Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- Answers customer questions regarding products
- Assists them with selections
- Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
- Slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- Assists in technical areas as needed such as basic set-up and clean-up processes
- Uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
- Cleans and sanitizes display cases
- Operates and maintains equipment properly
- Complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- Complies with department and store operating procedures
- Performs department-specific tasks such as recording production and shrink in bakery, taking care of service counter customers in deli, or serving and packaging products at customer's request in prepared foods.
