Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in global shipping and logistics
- Proven knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs compliance
- Experience managing carrier and vendor relationships
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to lead global teams and drive change
- Highly client-focused with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

- 10+ years of leadership experience in global shipping and logistics
- Strong expertise in international shipping regulations, customs compliance, and carrier management
- Proven ability to implement global shipping standards and technology solutions

- Exceptional leadership and change management experience
- Client-oriented mindset with understanding of shipping's impact on trust and satisfaction
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Job Duties
- Define and execute Sotheby's global shipping strategy
- Establish and maintain worldwide standards for shipping operations including compliance, security, packaging, and client communication
- Leverage technology and digital tools to enhance visibility, efficiency, and client experience
- Develop and monitor global KPIs and scorecards to measure performance and identify opportunities for optimization
- Oversee secure, efficient transport of high-value art and luxury assets across all sales channels
- Ensure full compliance with customs, import/export, insurance, and cultural property regulations
- Build and optimize relationships with global carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Negotiate and manage contracts balancing cost efficiency with service quality
- Embed shipping as a seamless, client-centric part of the Sotheby's experience
- Partner with internal teams to integrate shipping solutions into broader service model
- Own the global shipping budget and drive cost efficiency
- Forecast capacity and infrastructure needs to support growth.
