Job Requirements

  • physical ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows and wipe down doorjambs
  • vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
  • clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and cleaning agents
  • inspect vehicles for noticeable defects such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation
  • use proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection
  • fill vehicle with fuel
  • apply dressing on tires and tire wells
  • maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times
  • keep work area neat and clean
  • use buffer to detail vehicles
  • report any safety issues immediately to management
  • empty garbage into designated areas
  • open lot for business and close lot when closing
  • keep service drive clear and clean at all times
  • clean customer lounge area and coffee area at all times
  • maintain appearance of entire lot
  • operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • park vehicles in accordance with policy and under direction of sales and marketing to ensure the lot is attractive to potential buyers
  • assist sales and service staff in moving vehicles to ensure efficient dealership operations
  • responsible for adding and maintaining key tags and window stickers on all lot vehicles
  • drive vehicles to other dealerships for dealer swaps or to other vendors as requested
  • may pick-up or deliver customers as requested using dealership vehicles
  • complete additional tasks as directed
