Job Requirements

  • associate degree required preferably in event planning, management, hotel hospitality, liberal arts, education, or related field
  • one year of related experience required preferably in event planning or volunteer management
  • ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands, talk, and hear
  • frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • good vision including close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • compliance with federal, state, and local safety and health regulations
  • willingness to perform varied duties as assigned
  • ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • associate degree preferably in event planning, management, hotel hospitality, liberal arts, education, or related field
  • bachelor's degree preferred in event planning, management, hotel hospitality, liberal arts, education, or related field
  • one year of related experience preferably in event planning or volunteer management
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong organizational and conflict-resolution skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • proficiency in digital content management and event promotion

Job Duties

  • support volunteer engagement and patient-focused events across housing facilities
  • assist with planning, coordinating, and executing monthly patient events and activities
  • develop engaging event concepts for all age groups
  • manage calendars, promotional materials, and digital content
  • serve as primary liaison for volunteer groups including onboarding, training, scheduling, and recognition
  • foster positive relationships with volunteers, families, staff, and vendors ensuring compliance with hospital policies
  • support facility tours, seasonal décor, and special projects
  • maintain volunteer data and assist with meal, entertainment, and activity planning
  • address challenges during events ensuring a safe, rewarding environment
  • perform other duties as assigned to meet departmental goals
