Job Requirements

  • United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Has received a high school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Agree to provide information to establish eligibility and to complete a National Service Criminal History Check
  • Valid driver's license

Job Duties

  • Increase volunteerism by supporting the recruitment of new cadre of volunteers and assisting with the daily management of the volunteer program
  • Expand volunteer opportunities within the park
  • Conduct continual community outreach within the park and local communities during regularly scheduled programming, special events, national public service days, and through social media
  • Increase veteran outreach for volunteerism, especially given the strong connections and relevance for veterans and veterans groups to the military park and National Cemetery
  • Serve alongside the volunteer coordinator to overhaul and update the park's volunteer program
  • Provide meaningful stewardship opportunities
  • Collaborate with all park teams to identify and develop volunteer opportunities to support team and park-wide goals
