Job Requirements
- college degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- three years experience in volunteer or intern support or management
- ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment in sensitive matters
- proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- proficient with virtual meeting and communication platforms
- strong teamwork skills
- strong customer focus
- meticulous attention to detail
- ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work within and maintain Monterey Bay Aquarium's core values
- ability to perform physical activities including constant sitting, standing, walking, bending
- ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to work in typical office environment, main aquarium and exhibits, and occasional offsite events

Job Duties
- develop and maintain SOPs for required work activities
- perform administrative tasks such as maintaining volunteer records, organizing intern presentations and certificates, responding to volunteer inbox
- generate and create routine reporting for administration, tracking, and annual statistics
- provide information and resolve inquiries regarding volunteer, intern, conservation research, and animal care programs
- support recruitment function including identifying position requirements, evaluating and screening candidates, coordinating onboarding checklists, scheduling clinical appointments, facilitating new orientation and safety walkthroughs, coordinating and updating training requirements, monitoring program expenses and identifying budget variances
- plan and oversee volunteer and intern appreciation events for Animal Care and Conservation & Research programs
