Job Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent
Three years of experience in technical theater operations
Coursework or experience in sound and lighting systems, electrical codes, and OSHA regulations
OSHA 30 certification required within six months of hire
Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
Ability to work evenings and varied environments including indoor and outdoor event spaces
Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Three years of experience in technical theater operations including sound and lighting systems
Coursework or experience in electrical codes and OSHA regulations
Strong knowledge of stage lighting, sound, and communication design
Proficiency in operating theatrical lighting and sound equipment, sound and light board programming, and fly system operation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

Operate a variety of technical equipment and tools such as audio systems, moving consoles, signal processing units, recording devices, computer control boards, stage rigging, lifts, and power tools
Collaborate with administration to develop a facilities and events plan to ensure smooth operation of facilities during events
Assist in the promotion of events by providing technical information and support for marketing materials, ensuring that technical requirements are accurately communicated
Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized services, acting as a liaison with staff and community users regarding facility use
Manage the scheduling of district facilities for events and conduct post-event evaluations to improve operations
Set up and prepare the Performing Arts Center and other facilities for events including lighting, sound, and staging, offering technical guidance
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and event setup guides
