Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in visitor services or a related customer service role
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with ticketing and membership software such as Altru and Social Good
- Ability to handle cash accurately and follow financial procedures
- Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate trams or golf carts safely
- Willingness to work a full-time 40 hours per week schedule
- Valid driver’s license

- Valid driver’s license required
- Prior experience in the NBG Garden Guide and Visitor Services Coordinator roles preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in customer service and cash handling strongly preferred
Job Duties
- Lead guest experience initiatives by leveraging feedback and data to enhance satisfaction and increase membership conversions including targeted e-blasts and promotions
- Oversee and uphold guest service standards across all visitor touchpoints addressing guest concerns and ensuring a consistently welcoming experience
- Manage and maintain online admission tickets and automated communications in Altru and Social Good ensuring up-to-date information is reflected on the NBG website
- Keep the Visit page and phone messaging current with operational updates including hours closures and tour cancellations
- Supervise and support the Visitor Services and Tour Operations team fostering a positive team-oriented environment focused on guest engagement
- Assist with hiring onboarding and ongoing training of Garden Guides emphasizing guest experience and interpretive education
- Maintain and update Altru and Social Good procedures for front-line staff including front desk and tollbooth operations
- Oversee continued education and development for the Garden Guide team to ensure high-quality guest interactions
- Perform frontline Visitor Services and Tour Operations duties as needed including tollbooth front desk tram and boat tours
- Enforce cash handling policies and ensure accuracy in admission membership sales class registrations and daily reconciliation
- Collaborate with internal departments to support special events exhibits and educational programs ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience
- Address and resolve escalated guest concerns in a professional and timely manner to support guest and member retention
- Track and report on admissions revenue and guest-to-member conversion rates for performance monitoring
- Act as the point of contact in emergencies coordinating with first responders and ensuring guest and staff safety
- Demonstrate professionalism and collaboration with guests staff and leadership provide hands-on support in daily operations as needed
- Assist with Garden-wide special events and other duties as assigned
