Job Requirements
- Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent
- Some experience providing nature/environmental education programs to the general population
- Ability to coordinate scheduling and communicate effectively
- Experience with animal care preferred
- Willingness to support public events
- Ability to work Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Availability to work 30 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent
- Some experience providing nature/environmental education programs to the general population
- Coursework in nature, botany, horticulture, zoology or related field is desirable
- Experience in nature-related work or public speaking is an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate and schedule use of the Nature Center facilities and programs
- Fullfill requests from the community ensuring uses align with the mission of Pioneers Park Nature Center
- Assist in fulfilling staffing needs for Nature Center facilities, programs, and events
- Oversee the care of exhibit animals and related supplies
- Contribute to program planning and assist with implementation of special events and programs
- Support Nature Center operations ensuring a welcoming, informative, and engaging experience for visitors
