Job Description

Job Qualifications

  • One year of progressively responsible clerical or office work or similar indicating ability to acquire necessary skills
  • two years of education above high school or equivalent combination of experience and education for GS-04 level
  • one year specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 level in federal service or four years of education above high school for GS-05 level
  • ability to provide customer service and instruct groups or individuals
  • experience using word processing, spreadsheet, or database software
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow procedures and guidelines

Job Duties

  • Serve as representative to answer questions and offer guidance
  • monitor sites and maintain relations with park partners and concessions while on roving patrols throughout National Parks
  • greet the public and disseminate information
  • provide directions and collect fees
  • assist groups and individuals with inquiries
  • compile and analyze information to report
  • use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to document activities
