Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration or equivalent experience
  • Seven years of experience in casino operations, guest service or related field or ten years of equivalent experience if no degree
  • Four years of supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and intense environment
  • Accountability for accuracy and thoroughness of department records and reports
  • Strong influencing and relationship-management skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to twenty five pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration and seven years of casino operations, guest service or related field experience, or ten years of equivalent experience if no degree
  • Four years of supervisory or management experience
  • Two years of experience in casino credit area preferred
  • Working knowledge of advanced guest retention principles
  • Proven record of increasing participation of high-end players
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Two years of experience with patron management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and intense environment
  • Accountability for accuracy and thoroughness of records and reports
  • Ability to interpret complex documents
  • Strong influencing and relationship-management skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions
  • Ability to maintain organization, meet deadlines and handle confidential information
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic direction to the VIP Services and Players Club departments to establish programs that will acquire new guests and successfully retain existing guests to increase revenue
  • Analyze all key volume indicators for all hosted players including visitation patterns, theoretical revenue, actual revenue, coin in, table drop, buy in, hotel room bookings, and reinvestment
  • Develop and implement a cost-effective strategic player acquisition and development plan
  • Carry out management responsibilities including interview, hire and train team members

  • Create, maintain and be accountable for the annual VIP Services budget
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate activities on property
  • Build relationships, market gaming product to potential high limit guests, and travel to meet new potential high-end players
  • Develop department goals aligned with Potawatomi Casino Hotel’s mission, vision and values
  • Develop and maintain training for VIP Services staff, providing coaching and mentoring to maximize host performance
  • Communicate and interact with guests including answering questions, extending invitations and resolving disputes
  • Respond to special requests, guest complaints and inquiries in a calm, prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Ensure effective communication and flow of information to VIP Services and Players Club teams
  • Establish, update and ensure compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
