Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED recommended
  • Some college experience or degree recommended
  • Minimum of one year host or related experience required

Job Qualifications

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual
  • Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Ability to implement and uphold service standards
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Maintain and confirm advance reservations
  • Monitor and maintain Open Table reservation table assignments to ensure seamless turnover
  • Maintain reservation email traffic
  • Maintain voicemail reservation traffic
  • Greet VIP guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism
  • Escort guests to their designated tables ensuring comfort and satisfaction
  • Manage reservations for VIP guests including seating arrangements and special requests
  • Develop and maintain a database of VIP guests including preferences and special occasions
  • Anticipate and fulfill VIP guest requests promptly including menu recommendations and special accommodations
  • Plan and execute special events, private parties, or VIP gatherings coordinating with kitchen and service staff
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by VIP guests with empathy and urgency
  • Provide leadership and training to hosts, servers, and staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Uphold establishment standards of excellence in service, cleanliness, and professionalism
  • Promote menu items, special offers, and upsell opportunities
  • Cultivate strong relationships with VIP guests through personalized communication and gestures
  • Manage the waitlist during peak hours providing accurate wait time estimates
  • Maintain a tidy and organized hostess station
  • Uphold grooming, dress, and uniform standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experience
  • Maintain knowledge of all outlet offerings
  • Maintain professional and courteous behavior to guests and coworkers
  • Adhere to sexual harassment and hostile work environment policies
