Job Description
The VIP Cocktail Server role is a critical position within the TC Restaurant Group, responsible for delivering top-tier beverage and food service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This part-time role involves serving guests in upscale bar and lounge settings, many of which include live entertainment and vibrant rooftop spaces. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to operate business communication applications such as email and chat
- Adherence to company, local, state, and federal regulations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licensing or work cards
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Capability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Ability to work in small confined areas with limited access
- Availability to work over 30 hours per week including approved overtime
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to tolerate environmental factors such as second-hand smoke, noise, strobe lights, and fast-paced social environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in upscale food and beverage service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Knowledge of beverage preparation and upselling techniques
- Ability to maintain professionalism and appearance standards
- Basic proficiency with business communication applications
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding of relevant local, state, and federal regulations
Job Duties
- Provide upscale food and beverage service
- Adhere to all departmental appearance and uniform standards while maintaining professionalism
- Appear in dress code for all shifts at scheduled times
- Follow all company and department policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Exude best-in-class customer service
- Maintain a good rapport with management teams across locations
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Respond courteously to guest inquiries and requests
- Circulate through work area to maintain atmosphere control
- Keep tabletops, floors, and service areas clean and organized
- Maintain service station and equipment cleanliness
- Complete opening, running, and closing duties
- Ensure safe and accurate cash and credit card handling
- Have full knowledge of menu items, preparation, ingredients, and pricing
- Be a brand advocate providing accurate venue information
- Recognize and cultivate repeat guests
- Use suggestive selling techniques
- Recognize and appropriately handle intoxicated guests
- Refuse service to intoxicated guests courteously and safely
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
