Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to follow health, safety, and operational policies
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability for part-time shifts
Job Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage experience preferred but not required
- Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Basic safety experience and knowledge
- Consistent record of punctuality and attendance
- Strong soft skills and people skills
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- The ability to engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- The ability to prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to build relationships
- Knowledgeable of safety training, procedures and best practices used throughout the food and beverage industry
Job Duties
- Promote healthy nutritional options for members by preparing and serving smoothies and grab and go food options
- Make sure to follow all recipes exactly and modify as members request
- Make sure to clean and sanitize all work areas in line with industry food and beverage standards
- Maintain an organized workspace to ensure that all team members can find supplies and inventory as needed
- Be able to properly ring up members for their orders, take payment and provide change as needed
- Collaborate with the Café Manager to maintain sufficient inventory levels of supplies to run the business
- Welcome members to the café and help them with their orders by asking questions and helping them get what they want
