  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes
  • ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders and other food preparation or cooking items safely
  • able to handle work in a fast-paced environment
  • positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with team members

Job Duties

  • serve meals by reviewing recipes
  • assemble, combine, and cook ingredients
  • maintain a sanitary kitchen
  • execute food production in accordance with plating guide specifications
  • attend to the detail and presentation of each order
  • prepare ingredients by following recipes including slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing
  • add seasonings and plate meals
  • complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling
  • assemble and refrigerate cold ingredients
  • adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • maintain temperature and HACCP logs
  • maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas
